JVC Kenwood Design held an in-house event for employees and their families.
On the day, the children of employees visited the office as an "exploration team," and while interacting with their parents, they were able to learn about our work and initiatives.
Tour the office and experience work
Within the office where the event was held, we set up booths to introduce some of the services we provide, including product design, UI design, and video production. With an original company map in hand, the children toured the booths in search of the designers in charge of each area, peering with interest at the screens of specialized software and touching the actual products while listening intently to the explanations.
Some employees commented that they felt comforted by seeing the children's gazes, which they don't normally get to see, and the entire office was enveloped in a bright and warm atmosphere.

Experience the audio and visual prototype
In addition to introducing our business, children were able to experience emotional prototypes that utilize sound and video technology, which we have been independently researching and developing. These were created based on the knowledge we have cultivated through our daily design research, and are intended to utilize the expressive power of sound and video to elicit intuitive experiences and emotional changes.
Although the children were a little nervous at first, smiles spread as they played freely, and friends naturally gathered, creating a lively circle of interaction. As parents and children experienced the experience together, they were seen being surprised by the changes in sound and being amused by the reactions of the images, and it became a moment where they shared a "new sensory experience" that went beyond simple play.

A place to foster new connections between employees and their families.

This event provided an opportunity for the children to learn about work, and for the employees to communicate with their families. After the event, there was also an opportunity for the children to share their impressions, making it a meaningful day for the employees as well, where they gained new insights and joy.
